Back to work or play.
Our team is committed to providing quality rehabilitative services so you can return to work or play as soon as possible. Physiotherapy, occupational therapy and custom hand splinting, all under one roof on Crown Street.
What we can help with.
A physiotherapist assesses you with detailed history taking and specific physical tests, then plans treatment around your own goals and general health. Occupational therapy runs alongside it for hand and wrist conditions.
Physiotherapy
Assessment and treatment
Manual therapy and joint mobilization to reduce pain and stiffness, personalized exercise for strength, range of motion and function, and modalities such as ultrasound and hot and cold packs where they help the tissue heal.
Concussion and vestibular rehabilitation
Rachel has advanced training and clinical experience in vestibular rehabilitation for dizziness disorders, and treats concussion, temporomandibular disorders and neurological conditions including stroke and multiple sclerosis.
Exercise programs and posture correction
Stretching, strengthening and posture education, with functional activity and tolerance training. Taking care of posture matters more than ever as we become more sedentary, and self care is what keeps the improvement.
Occupational therapy
Custom hand and wrist splinting
Carolyn fabricates and fits custom wrist and hand splints, and enjoys the creative, solution based side of splinting. Prescription, fabrication and application of supportive and protective devices is part of the plan, not an afterthought.
Hand and upper limb rehabilitation
More than twenty years managing and rehabilitating hand conditions: osteoarthritis, hand fractures, repetitive strain injuries and tendon injuries, in hospital clinic and outpatient settings.
Exercise and education for daily life
Exercises and education aimed at your participation in the daily activities that actually matter to you, so the hand you leave with is a hand you can use.
